Needs
For each zone and particular activities
There are three main ‘zones’ we see on the grounds:
Cow Cuddle Zone / Entrance
Forest Lodge (where we are currently sleeping)
Narayan’s Lodge
Each Zone
A few essentials are needed for each zone:
Shower or Potable Water Source or both so each area has easy access to water anytime day or night
Shower requires:
1 x Propane Tank for water heater mechanism
1 x Shower Curtain & hooks for privacy and hanging towel/clothing
Water Source
Narayan mentioned each zone having its own 250 gal water source & independent hose connected to the main water source
Ideally, we can get water purification filters attached to water hoses for each zone so we can have clean drinking water without the use of single-use plastics / water bottles.
Flooring
Wood Chipper in full effect
10W-30 engine oil
dry wood and other plant matter to turn into mulch for level flooring
Turf, Carpet or Linoleum rolls to lay atop level mulch flooring for hard tops
Cooking Kitchen
1 x stove
1 x propane tank
1 x stainless steel long table
1 x sink
1 x dish & utensil set
at least 1 chair and table (desk) for writing, reading, lounging
3-5 shelving unit for storage
Food
Each week, a large bin filled with fresh local fruits (bananas, lilikoi, papaya, mango, grapefruit, orange, avocado, star fruit) from the farm, friendly-farms that we trade with (i.e. Ginger John) or the Hilo farmers market.
A Tea Kettle with filtered water to make fresh healing herbal tea throughout the day.
Yoga
At least 3 yoga mats (usually go with Gaiam) for folks that want to join in on regular offerings.
An extra canopy / awning to cover yoga/meditation offerings.
Media
For the design and development of new media, web flow:
WiFi enabled cool, dry space
Drafting table, the kind that tilt, can move up and down and afford plenty of space for writing, drawing, presenting
Adjustable height ergonomic captain’s chair with armrests and proper back support
Two high quality Yoga mats (usually go with Gaiam)
We have a lightweight tripod and camera that can shoot just a few minutes in the sun. Given the environment here, would need a tripod with sturdier legs and a camera that can withstand the heat for longer shoots.
